The Bounding Main is a project brought to you by Kris Force (Amber Asylum, Lux Interna) and Erica Stoltz (Lost Goat, Sanhedrin, Amber Asylum). Kris and Erica both have a long history of friendship, music making and sound art. Kris is also a new media and visual artist. Kris and Erica were joined on this project by Elliott Stoltz on Electric Guitar, Jackie Perez Gratz (Grayceon, Amber Asylum) on Cello, Kathryn Ian (Lux Interna) on hand percussion, and Adriana Magaña, a.k.a., Dreiky Caprice (Crash Worship) on drum kit.

Kris, Erica and Jackie collaborated on Amber Asylum’s album, Supernatural Parlour Collection in 2000 and Blood Witch EP in 2019 (Prophecy Productions). In 2013, Erica joined Lux Interna on bass in performance supporting live, There is Light in the Body, There is Blood in The Sun (Pesanta Urfolk) at Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Germany. In 2018 Kris performed studio violin on the title track for Sanhedin’s album, The Poisoner (Cruz Del Sur).

Throughout the years, Kris and Erica continue to nurture their friendship and musical collaboration. They meet annually at a place called Tamarack lodge, deep in the woods of upstate NY, where they commune with nature, improvise, collude, conspire, dream and create. The work and recordings manifested from these meetings of mind have been refined and tuned by Kris in Pacifica, CA at Knobsnob Studios, steps from the Pacific Ocean.

In our convocations, the interior space of the cabin and the bounding main of the pacific ocean juxtapose in the expanse of the eternal mind
